Experience:

Lindsay Young (she/they) is a queer first generation Jamaican-American therapist and artist based in Southern California. They were born and raised in New York, where they gained years of experience working with countless nonprofit organizations, marginalized populations, and occupying counseling roles.

They are also a published author and nationally ranked performance poet, and have gained years of experience as a teaching artist and workshop facilitator, often exploring the intersection of mental health and artistic expression. After graduating from Columbia University with her MSW, Young decided to take their talents across the country and be of service to new communities.

I approach each client as the master of their own experiences. I am not invested in being the authority on right and wrong, but rather in acting as a guiding support on your journey to self-discovery and self-empowerment.

We will work collaboratively to tailor a treatment plan to your specific needs. I know how intimidating it can be to begin a therapeutic process, and I am deeply invested in using the expanse of my skill set to ensure that our experience together is as beneficial to your healing as possible.

I believe in flexibility, transparency, and always utilizing therapeutic approaches that put my clients' humanity at the forefront. Afterall, we are all only human.
